My life has evolved so much these last few years, in particularly the last twelve months or so..
I have travelled the world, been healed of Coeliac Disease (see Note below), had enormous paradigm shifts, overcome fears, experienced diverse cultures, created a huge network of friends and built an expanded network of influence to create the life of my dreams. I’ve also had a myriad of challenges, learned to make quick decisions on my feet and experienced many learnings…
I am now focused on bringing my journey of the last twelve months (and more) to life, in a book to be published later this year…
With the book, comes a new blog.. you can follow me more regularly on this new website:
I will create some new posts here, on occasion.. and we’re also revamping the book to become a downloadable eBook on this website.. (Watch this space)…
I hope to add even more value to your life, if even a small part of my journey creates a new thought, a new idea, a new belief to influence you to live the life of YOUR dreams… to dance to your own beat, sing your own song… and leave YOUR own unique footprint on the path of life…
Love, Light and Blessings,
Katie Gilbert
(Note: Please read previous posts. I still eat mainly a gluten free diet. I just don’t react to food with gluten in it as I once would. My body wants to eat protein, fruit and vegetables, but the difference is now I CAN eat foods with gluten as I am paying attention to my body (not my tongue) and listen to what it wants..
appologies for the inconvience.. but the video has been removed as it was disrupting the script on this site
My first Anthony Robbins “Date With Destiny” event was at this same location in April 2007.
It changed my life!
It set me on a wonderful course of aligning my soul with my authentic self and enjoying living MY purpose in life….
It also led me on a magnificent path, on a global journey. And during that journey came magnificent healing: physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Today, I fly back to share in the magic, and visit with a lot of my ‘family’ who return to the environment also, to volunteer and contribute back.
My spirit is centred and at peace, with the added thrill of the vibration of excitement that I anticipate with both the event and participating in the journey that comes with this awesome seminar…
I invite you to check this out for yourself.. only, this is the last Anthony Robbins event in Australia… but worth the journey across the seas to participate!
p.s. If you watch closely, you may see me in this clip!
It is the eve of my return back to Australia, and I’m sitting in the Qantas lounge in LAX, waiting for my flight bound for Sydney, (then through to Perth, Western Australia), without a definitive plan of further travels…. yet.
I feel in some aspect, like I have come full circle to a similar point in my life mirroring my leap of faith almost a year ago, when I set forth the process of the path I have just travelled.
What has transpired in these last eleven months has been nothing short of a monumental shift in my life, a new paradigm registered in my thoughts, and a miraculous healing of my heath: body, mind and spirit.
With these incredible shifts in my life, and no longer saddled with “dis-ease” which saddled my body and spirit up until a year ago, I am reflecting on my journey with deep gratitude:
The people I have met, the courses I have attended, the opportunities to travel (sometimes at a moments notice), the openess of my spirit and heart at the possibilities of learnings far greater than I once thought I would ever receive. The kindness offered to me by strangers in even stranger places, and the ability to ‘pay-it-forward’ with gifts of gratitude to another being wandering this earth also.
It’s now time to go home. ‘Though, I’m not so sure anymore where ‘home’ is.
Australia is calling me back…
People often ask me “Where do you live?”
I reply, “It’s easier to ask me, ‘Where am I from?’”
With a blink and a brief stare, they usually re-ask the question I have just posed.
And I reply, “I’m FROM Perth, Western Australia.” And then follow up with, “I LIVE ….well.. pick an airline!” and I smile. It usually brings a laugh, but the truth is, I have collected more air miles than I can count!
So my journey home, is a L-O-N-G one, with a flight of almost 30 hours.. hopefully mostly filled with sleep.
I return with a full heart and a spirit soaring with gratitude.
It’s now time for a redirection of my path for service…
First, my inspiration book of my journey - both physically and spiritually over the past two years…
And secondly, with my new skills …to contribute socially at an even higher level than before, to create a pathway of hope and renewel of health and spirit for anyone open to pursuing the possibility of invigorated health…
It is this Doctor, and his TBM technique that has adjusted my body to heal itself. For many things.
And now I have the freedom of a full range of choice. Habit kicks in though and today my body asks for fish and vegetables. I’ve learned to reconnect and listen to my body.
I am still supposed to be maintaining a no-sugar diet for 2 weeks to ‘lock it in’.. but my body is so happy that I have been able to enjoy an odd slice of pizza and half a bagel now and then..
I can’t discribe the freedom and natural health I feel.
NO SYMPTOMS!
NO Pain. No belly ache. No skin rash. No …well.. we don’t need to go there… I’ll spare you the details.
I am still in a daze, processing this new change.. dazzled by the ‘magic’ of how the body works and communicates once it is ’switched on’.
So, I’m back in Utah.. to do some more training. My intention is to pay it forward and help others with this technique.
Note: The TBM website is a little difficult to navigate and discern the TBM practitioners. Ignore the ’status’ next to the name on the list of practitioners and simply call the number of the person nearest you.
TBM practitioners come from many areas of the medical and natural healing fields. Some are chiropractors, some acupuncturists, others are massage therapists or energy healers… but all have the ability to perhaps provide that extra key to unlock YOUR DOOR of health….
I rushed to the boat at the dock, arriving at 5:45pm. Check-in was set for 5:30pm for a 6pm departure. I thought I was late, but there were a few other arrivals just after me.
I had been on a dolphin dive tour for the better part of the day. Exhausted and a little sun burnt from the swimming and being out in the sun, I had laid down for an afternoon nap, after I had set the alarm time on my clock. But, as I later realised (at waking up at 5:10pm) that I hadn’t set the alarm ON! Yikes!
As I was being checked in to the cruise, the guy validating the ticket (Kemo) received a phone call advising him that two passengers were not attending the cruise, and that one of the passengers had a gluten free meal organised. I overheard Kemo saying, “Gluten free? What the hec is gluten free?!”
I had been advised it was a buffet for the cruise, and hadn’t ordered a specific gluten free meal. I had booked the ticket online only a few days earlier and there wasn’t an option for a gluten free meal listed on the site. It was a rare time that I hadn’t followed up.
Luck was on my side.
Kemo hung up to his caller shaking his head.
I said, “I’ll explain gluten free to you if you like?”
He was interested, so I told him. Followed with, “and I actually forgot to organise a gluten free meal for myself tonight.”
“Well Lady Luck’s on your side tonight Miss, ’cause I now have a spare gluten free meal.”
I grinned. Magic!
When the food was being served, Kemo motioned to me from the buffet near the bar on the boat. I walked over, feeling a little extra happy about the circumstances of the night.
Kemo handed me a plate and made me a special salad (without the croutons), and put some specially marinated chicken and kebabs on my plate. He handed it to me with a beautiful big smile, reflecting my own joy.
He grins, “I have a special treat for you for desert too!”
My eyes widen with delight. “There’s a gluten free desert!?” I jig on the spot. “What is it?”
“Cheesecake, without the base.”
I’m ecstatic. And appreciate knowing before I finish my main meal. I’m not normally in the habit of eating desert (okay, that is not so true of the last three weeks with my trip to Antarctica!), primarily because there isn’t normally many options for gluten free deserts, and secondly I prefer savoury food any day. Today, I decided to leave enough room for my special treat.
It was a delicious lemon cheesecake. When Kemo called me back over to collect it, he began to take it out of it’s special box with the same slide he had used to handle the regular cheesecake.
“Wait!” I startle him.
He looks at me with anticipation.
“Let me take it out with a clean knife. So it’s not cross-contaminated with the crumbs from the base of the other cheesecake.”
Kemo looks at his slide, then grabs the knife. “I’m soooooo sorry,” he appologises. “I didn’t think.”
“That’s OK,” I reassure him. Disappointment settles on his face as he thinks he may have ruined my treat. “Look! The slide only touched it here,” I point with a spoon. Then I just scoop that small section off and hand him the spoon for cleaning, whilst I grabbed a clean one to eat my dessert.
“All fixed!” I smile, and spoon a mouthful of the delicious fluffy sweet into my mouth. “It’s fabulous!”
He relaxes, and I skip off to my table to chat with my new found friends enjoying the cruise too..
I enjoyed the night immensely: the food, new friends, the hula dancing, the entertainment, the harbour and breeze blowing on my skin, and the inner reflection of how great each day of life is!
I can’t begin to explain how many times opportunities like this are showing up in my life these days. ‘The Secret’ really does work. The key I have learned is, to know what you want, live in alignment with your truth, and believe… along with taking action which includes staying AWAKE to the opportunities that manifest into our lives on a daily basis, and making use of them.
